Michele (lead vocals, aka Bruce Dickinson):

Hailing from her Motown hometown of Detroit, Michigan, Michele’s passion for singing grew from harmonizing to golden oldies with her mom and sister as early as she can remember. She developed a love for rock vocals early and formally began her vocal endeavors by studying classical and choral vocal technique at age 10.

At the age of 16, Michele pursued a career as a singer/songwriter, writing and recording 3 independent albums over the next couple of years. Additionally, she expanded her knowledge and musical network by attending Berklee College of Music studying vocal performance.

Michele has extensive experience with original and cover bands including local San Diego favorites Relax Max and Get Groovin’. In addition to Up The Irons, her current projects include The Big Lewinsky (90s rock and hip-hop tribute) and The Wild Nights Band (rock and roll dance band). Michele is beyond thrilled to take her vocal expertise to the next level with Up The Irons.

Jack (Bass, aka Steve Harris): Jack has been playing bass for over 30 years in numerous original, cover and tribute bands. His fascination with the bass started at a young age when he began playing in his high school jazz band and in a band with his neighborhood friends.  Jack’s mastery of the bass is likely owed to his being heavily influenced by a number of progressive and heavy metal and rock bands such as Rush, Yes, Iron Maiden, and Led Zeppelin. Jack's recent tribute band experience in addition to Up The Irons includes Hellbent (Judas Priest tribute), Y.Y.Zed (Rush tribute) and Smack This (Godsmack tribute).

Dan (AKA ADrian Smith) started playing guitar when he was 8 years old at church. He started playing again at 12 years old when he saw Led Zeppelin's "The Song Remains the Same" - Jimmy Page was so cool. Dan is a tribute veteran with years of experience in numerous successful tribute acts, most recently Smack This (Godsmack tribute band). Dan's influences are Eddie Van Halen, Jimmy Page, Steve Vai, Randy Rhodes, Adrian Smith, and George Lynch just to name a few.  Dan was born and raised in San Diego and has been listening to such classic bands like Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden over the years.  He's also been influenced by some newer bands like Godsmack, Hellyeah and Halestorm.

International touring and studio veteran James J LaRue (AKA, DAVE MURRAY) has been an Iron Maiden super-fan since childhood. This influence is echoed in his work with original metal bands White Wizzard and Holy Grail. His career has been diverse, including many sub-genres of metal, pop, country, electronica, and film score, and now James has returned to the source of his early inspiration. "(Classic Metal) is a sound that never gets old for me," remarks LaRue, "soaring vocals, guitar harmonies, the melodic solos - it's a kind of magic that was all but squelched during the dark ages of the grunge era. I fancy myself a torchbearer of the authentic NWOBHM sound and quality musicianship in general." LaRue's guitar influences include Adrian Smith, Glenn Tipton, Eric Johnson, Paul Gilbert, Greg Howe, Allen Hinds and Alex Hutchings. He currently resides in La Mesa, CA and is the guardian of the world's finest pair of cats.

Andy Gibbs (AKA NiCkO MCBRAIN / Clive Burr)

Born and raised in Eagle River, Alaska and growing up in Los Angeles Andy may be the best most awesome drummer of all time. He has had the privilege of studying with many greats such as David Beyer, Ralph Humphrey, Chuck Flores, Joe Porcaro, Efrain Toro and Richie Morales. His warm smile and beautiful brown eyes make him a fan favorite, often breaking the hearts around him. Andy started playing drums at age 15 after hearing the Powerslave album and has been an Iron Maiden fan ever since, working tirelessly to recreate the magic of Nicko McBrain and Clive Burr with Up the Irons.

New to the tribute scene Andy has toured and recorded with several original acts including The Stonecutters, Koffee, Common Thread, Arrant Knaves, Badwrench, Chris DeStefano, Crimson Filagree, High Anxiety, United States the Band, Tasmania, Hammer-On and The Freak Brothers. Andy was also the in-house drummer at Rose City Rocks Studios in Pasadena, CA and the in-house drum instructor at Francisco Studios in Vernon, CA.

His influences include Joey Heredia, William Kennedy, Simon Phillips, his big brother Paul, Dave Weckl, Rod Morgenstein, Butch Porter, Neil Peart, Ian Paice, the Oakland Raiders, Mike Portnoy, Virgil Donati, Frank Zappa, Adam Carolla, The 4 Korners and Jerry Gaskill.

Andy is a great addition to Up the Irons and he absolutely most definitely for sure did not write this bio himself in the third person.
